How to Check Your MTN Number (All Options)

Whether you've recently inserted a new SIM or simply can't remember your MTN number, there are several simple methods to find it:

Method 1: USSD Code

Dial *123*888# on your MTN phone.
Your number will appear on screen shortly.
This is the quickest and most reliable method. No airtime or data is needed.

Method 2: Call or Message Someone

If you have airtime or data:

• Send an SMS or make a call to a friend or family member.

• They’ll see your number on their device.

You can also try a “Please Call Me”:

• Dial *121*recipient’s number# and send.
  They’ll receive a message with your number.

Method 3: Use the MTN App

• Download the MTN App from your device’s app store.

• Log in or register with your MTN SIM.

• Your number will be visible in your account or profile section.
  You’ll need data or Wi-Fi for this option.

Method 4: Call MTN Customer Care

Dial 135 from your MTN SIM.
Follow the prompts or speak to an agent to retrieve your number.

Method 5: Check the SIM Pack or Documentation

If it's a new SIM, your number may be printed on the starter pack or purchase receipt.

Method 6: Other USSD Menus
