Whether you've just inserted a new SIM or simply can't remember your Vodacom number, there are a few easy ways to find it.
Method 1: USSD Code
- Dial
*135*501#
on your Vodacom phone. - Your number will appear on screen shortly.
This is the quickest and most reliable method. No airtime or data is needed.
Method 2: SMS or Call Someone
If you have airtime or bundles:
-
Send an SMS or make a call to a friend or family member.
-
They’ll see your number on their phone.
You can also try a "Please Call Me":
-
Dial
*140*recipient’s number#
and send. -
They’ll receive a message with your number.
Method 3: Use the Vodacom Ap
-
Download and open the My Vodacom App.
-
Log in or register with your SIM.
-
Your number will be visible at the top of the home screen.
You’ll need data or Wi-Fi for this option.
Method 4: Call Customer Care
-
Dial
135
from your Vodacom SIM. -
Speak to an agent or follow the prompts to retrieve your number.
Method 5: Check the SIM Card Packaging
If it's a new SIM, your number is usually printed on the starter pack or receipt.
Method 6: Check PUK Number via USSD
Another way is to request your PUK number using:
-
*135#
and look for “Device and SIM” or a similar menu. -
Some versions of this menu also show your mobile number.
